Cellulite, also more commonly known as orange peel skin and known in medicine as oedematous-fibrosclerotic panniculopathy, is a condition that affects 70% of women in the area of the thighs, hips, abdomen and arms. Technically, cellulite is caused by inflammation in the subcutaneous tissue due to poor circulation at the micro level. This causes the skin to have a rough appearance or small hollows.
There are creams that can help prevent this and although the most effective treatment is daily exercise, at Clinica Kam we have a procedure for those cases that are more difficult to solve. This helps to eliminate localised fat and, depending on the area, different methods will be applied, such as body mesotherapy or bodytite, which we will talk about soon.
